My Safe Florida Home Approved
The My Safe Florida Home program is one of the best ways for homeowners to save money on their roof upgrades. This innovative program will cover roofing costs equal to $2 for every $1 you spend, up to $10,000. So if you get $10,000 in roof upgrades, you'll only pay $3,333!
These funds can go to a wide variety of roof improvements, including:
- Installing a secondary water barrier
- Reinforcing your roof decking attachments
- Upgrading your roof coverings
- Roof replacements (as part of other, approved improvements)
With a deal this good, you’re basically leaving money on the table if you don’t sign up for the My Safe Florida Home program. So what’s the catch?
There’s no downside to using this program, but there are some criteria that you have to meet. Applications will be processed according to groups starting August 4th, 2025, and priority will be given to homeowners who have low incomes and/or are seniors.
And once you qualify, there’s just one final step left: picking your roofing contractors.
With this reimbursement program, you are free to pick any licensed contractors to complete your work. However, it pays to pick experienced contractors who have experience with this program. Approval can be a long, drawn-out process, but PITCH Roofing will be here to help you navigate the rules and regulations at every step of the process.
In the past, funds for the My Safe Florida Home program have run out quickly! So if you’re interested in upgrading your roof without burning through your savings, don’t wait to apply. If you aren’t in any of the four priority groups, you may be eligible for funds if there are any left after these groups have been sold.
On August 4th, the My Safe Florida Home’s portal will re-open and you’ll be able to sign up for your free wind mitigation inspection. Once that’s completed and your project(s) are approved, you’ll need to pick your contractors and submit their information. I am completely satisfied with our recent roof installation. They had our roof installed in 2 days time, as well as replacing the facia. Their estimate was in line with other quotes we received at the time, so it came down to them being a Seminole based business and we love to support our hometown businesses when possible. Salesman, roofing staff, and even the owner himself were great with us during the process, and I felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer. Our roof turned out beautifully and I immediately noticed a difference in sound traveling through the house, which is an added bonus!
